Linux Server / System Administrator
My client, a software company in Cape Town is looking for a Linux System Administrator with Tertiary education.
The ideal person will be:
- Creative – Ambitious & trustworthy – Be able to work under pressure – Be an effective problem-solver – Self motivated and eager to learn and progress. – Good command of the English language. In house training will be provided.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric maths essential, along with completed relevant tertiary education – Own transport and a valid drivers license – Be proficient with Apache, Postfix, IPtables, MySql, PostgreSQL
Other Requirements
Be Proficient in one or more of the following languages: – Bash – Python – PHP – Rails – Perl
Responsibilities
- Linux Server and System/Network Admin – Server Monitoring – Windows Network Admin and PC Maintenance – Hardware Maintenance & Repair – File Backups – Network Security – Mail server Maintenance – Managing Relevant 3rd Party Relationships
Salary:
R25 000 – R30 000
