Location: Johannesburg
Description:
Sector : System Administration in Information Security
Location: Bryanston, or other Gauteng-based office
Hours : Standard Business Hours with after-hours standby
Level : Advanced medium to high
Availability: Immediate
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Be a system administrator (main infrastructure, monitoring systems, ticketing systems, backups, storage, servers, WAN infrastructure)
- Ensure that all systems are operational
- Ensure that backups are correctly managed
- Perform required system changes /customisations
- Implement additional systems as required
- Mentor junior staff
Required Skills:
- Advanced system administration skills (mainly Linux)
- Scripting skills essential (you will be tested)
- Linux, Centos
- SAN management
- Backup management
- Server/Blade experience (IBM preferable)
- Monitoring (Nagios)
- Ability to dive in and produce results
- ISP skills highly beneficial
Personal Attributes:
- Must take initiative
- Must be a go-getter/self-starter with ambition, clarity of vision, drive and motivation
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Must be accountable
