Mid Level Java Developer (Bellville)
My client in Cape Town, an online Advertising Agency, is urgently seeking the services of a skilled and experienced Java Web Developer who can play an important role in the development of exciting new financial web offerings and enhancements to the existing portfolio.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing technical analysis and possible development of prototypes – Design, develop, test, document, and maintain code; tracking and reporting on task progress – Delivering work on schedule; performing automated unit testing and automation builds.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be flexibility – Have strong communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills – Ability to display resourcefulness in obtaining information – Positive attitude are critical, as the nature of the assignments will vary – Must have a strong technical background – 3+ years of OO, Java & JEE experience in developing commercial software – Experienced in Java server-side technologies (JSP, Servlets, Java Beans, XML) – Experienced in relational databases such as DB2, Oracle or SQL Server and a solid SQL and JDBC implementation track record – Experienced in (D)HTML, JQuery, Ajax, LDAP, FTP advantageous – Familiar with IBM Websphere Application server – Familiar with web content management systems preferably WWCM
Other Requirements:
- Familiar with object persistence frameworks – Solid technical document writing – UML & Design Patterns – Must enjoy leading edge technology – Must enjoy working with people and working in a team
Salary:
R20 000 – R25 000 per month
This position will be based at the client in Bellville.
