Description:
Leading company, with offices in Belville, is looking for a .NET developer reporting to the IT Manager for all aspects of the in-housed developed Production system;
This includes;
• implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security and usage monitoring of the in-house iPX software code;
• Clean-up of existing code;
• Maintain the code;
• Develop new software modules;
• Write or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems;
• Maintains system documentation and logs;
• Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production system problems;
• Keep current with new security and network monitoring technologies, applicable laws and regulations.
Development Skill requirement

• Have developed bio-metrics software.
o Need to provide example
• Understand U-R-U Technology
• Be able to write code to retrieve, identify and store user finger prints
• Be able to integrate Bio-metrics with external 3d party software.
Business/Industry Skill requirement
• 4-5 Years VB.NET experience in Client-Server, Windows and Windows SERVER environment
• Have developed Microsoft Office Suite Applications [vba and .NET]
• Understanding of Manufacturing and Production industry;
• System Processes knowledge
• Code Change Control knowledge
• Can work with People and handle callouts.
• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Post secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education.
• A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment.
• A Knowledge in RFI technology is an advantage
Responsibilities:
• Support the Systems Engineer in making iPX Implementation changes.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems.
• Make recommendations on custom applications which include a number of MS SQL data capture systems
• Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our iPX system.
• Coordinate application development for multiple projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
• Assist in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
• Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
• Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
• Provide minor programming for some other in-house IT projects.
• Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
• Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the IT network team including SD France Project Manager to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a weekly basis to the IT Manager.
• Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
• Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.
