A Cape Town CBD based Software Development house is looking for a skilled .Net Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate needs to have experience developing in VB.Net as well as database development using SQL Server 2005/2008, MySQL. Qualifications:
BSc in Information Systems preferred
Minimum 3 years of development experience
Experience using VB.Net, SQL Server 2005/2008
Experienced in all stages of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to testing and maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce quality code that is well documented, and in accordance with system and technical specifications
Provide realistic estimates for technical documentation and development effort
Investigate on which technologies to use and contribute in design and planning sessions
Perform Unit Tests, and assist in System and User Acceptance Testing
Participate in quality assurance checks / code reviews
Adhere and contribute to technical standards
Work closely with Business / System Analysts, QA Specialists, and Project Managers
Remain up to date with development and technology trends
Assist other members of the systems team where necessary
