Junk Mail Publishing, the leading Classifieds publisher in South Africa, is looking for a capable Web Developer with some exposure to best practices in Search Engine Optimisation to join our dynamic Pretoria based dev team.
Requirements: – Excellent PHP skills – MySQL knowledge – Excellent problem-solving abilities – HTML/CSS & Javascript / JQuery knowledge – Excellent communication skills – A good understanding of on-site SEO techniques
Advantageous: – Linux experience (working with LAMP systems) – SVN (Subversion) – XML & SOAP – Performance tuning (code enhancements, sql optimization, caching systems, configuration of applications, etc) – Development of mobile sites – SOLR/Lucene knowledge – AJAX knowledge – A passion for Design and Usability
Duties & Responsibilities: – Development of server-side scripts – Development of server-side functionality of websites – Implementation of client-side design of websites – Maintenance of existing systems – Technical testing of implemented features
Salary will be negotiable, based on experience.
