Pre Production controller

An international automotive company is looking for a pre production controller to join their team to accurately conduct all the functions of change control to ensure correct interfaces of all changes to the local bills of materials for all NDSA models as per the EPL (Engineering Parts List) and ECR’s (Engineering Change Request)
• You will be responsible for accurate creation of all new model Bills of Materials on the system.
• Responsible for accurate Bills of Material maintenance ( determine correct implementation timing, in terms of job numbers, updating of system on Run out and Run in job numbers and timing)
• Responsible for Change Control activities ( Action all Engineering change requests in terms of distribution of ECR’s, arranging CCB (Change Control Board)meetings, compiling consequence of changes , calculate and determine run in / run out timing and job numbers and documentation control).
• Responsible for timeously identification of local Obsolete parts, compile list, add values, and submit to management for authorisation. To ensure (instruction to warehouse) the disposal there-off, and keep and maintain controlling documents.
• Responsible to do a Local Material Pick list comparison from system, verify part numbers, bin location, trolley nr’s etc, to ensure correctness of data, and to liaise with Engineering, to verify and update data where needed.
We are looking for your
• Sound knowledge of Bills of materials,
• Sound knowledge of Material Control
• Knowledge of Manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of Syspro (advantageous), or other Production/Manufacturing Management system. (e.g. SAP).
• 5 years experience in manufacturing environment (preferably – motor manufacturing) as a Bills of material analyst / Pre –Production Controller/Expeditor.
• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Diploma in Production Management / Materials Management or Purchasing (Advantageous)
