Key to the success of this position is strong technical, analytical and problems solving abilities at no less than a senior level.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Matric – Essential
• Relevant tertiary qualification – Preferred
• 5 Yrs Developer experience – Essential
Skills Required:
• Object orientated skills and general ability to design and create code that is robust, simple, clear, realistic and elegant
• Agile development skills – Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration
• Agile project process skills ASP.Net .NET (2.0 onwards) (C Sharp)
• Domain Driven
• Design skills
• Ability to work in a shared source controlled project environment
• Transact SQL SQL Server 2000 2005 HTML XML

General Duties:
• Contribute to the development, implementation and achievement of departmental objectives – input provided in the development of all team objective.
• Provide solutions to complex problems – Accurate and timely resolution of problems
• Responsible for executing projects to meet briefs, standards, client requirement and deadlines including:
• Lead the analysis process – The accurate assessment of requirements
• Responsible for ensuring that all work meets best practice code
• Developed work meets the best practices code re-usability standard as adjudged by solution success and superiors.
• Ensure adequate unit testing of all development to meet quality standards (permutations, usability, stability and accuracy)
• Meeting deadlines as per scope of work/enhancements – All work is delivered accurately and on time as measured against original project deadlines
• Ensuring understanding of and the compliance to company development methodologies and standards – 100% compliance of all company methodologies as communicated through Wiki and project specifications
• Responsible for the development of software solutions to relevant platforms – As measured against project specifications
• Ensure issues are timeously escalated and appropriately resolved – All issues are communicated and resolved in a timely fashion.
Knowledge Management:
Effectively communicate in code, naming conventions and specified documentation in order to keep team fully appraised – Achieve a seamless working environment through proactive communication as measured by 360 feedback and incidences.
Reporting – Facilitate project meetings and collect and communicate the required feedback.
Documentation/ IP storage – Ensure that all documentation and knowledge within area of responsibility has been effectively created, stored and maintained for current and future use on SharePoint.
Skills transfer – Proactively knowledge share.
Personal Development:
Proactively remain abreast of industry knowledge – Provide quality research and recommendations for analysis and problem solutions.
Development of both technical and soft skills – through self study and research.
