Senior Java developer | Cape Town | R35k-R45k

The technology team of a well known media and technology company is looking for Senior Java developers for their Cape Town Office. You will be developing new functionality for online their subscriber management system.

•Solid understanding of the Java programming language and syntax, with at least 3 years Java working experience.
• Spring Framework
•Experience with Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate, JDO), JSPs, servlets, Javamail, sockets, web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and application servers.
•Experience in implementing scalable, robust, maintainable software using Object Orientated principles.
•Exposure to Java IDEs such as Eclipse and/or Netbeans.
•Exposure to Unix (Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris).
•Good SQL skills and a working understanding of RDBMS database concepts and design.
•Practical experience with Oracle/MySQL or MS SQL (at least 1 required).

•Must be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly through self – learning.
•Excellent technical skills and a desire to learn.
•A good understanding of broad business processes and principles.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Analytical and objective, with attention to detail.
•Passionate about programming and getting the job done.
•Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
