Senior Progress Developer
Johannesburg
Salary: Market related
One of my client’s based in Johannesburg is looking for a Senior Progress Developer to design, develop and maintain applications using primarily the Progress language and database toolset. You will need to assess requirements for new features and enhancements to applications & databases, design new features and enhancements for applications & databases to make future development easier, writing code, test fixes, investigate application defects, etc.
Qualifications:
• Matric
• IT or Engineering degree/diploma (highly advantageous)
Experience:
• 3-5 years experience in Progress development for a Windows GUI environment (Dynamics and/or ADM2);
• Solid knowledge of database design and theory; and
• Advantageous: web development experience, SQL Server, web services development
