Job purpose:
Solutions development within the Microsoft SharePoint Server environment
This position entails solutions development within the Microsoft SharePoint Server environment. Experience with Web part development is essential. Microsoft Certified Engineers strongly encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:
· Analysis, design and documentation
o Analyse functional requirements and produce technical specifications and related documents
o Maintain technical documentation
· Development, testing and implementation
o Develop, test and maintain SharePoint 2007
o Adhere to defined SDLC
o Adhere to defined development standards
o Implement technical solutions (incl. hardware, configurations etc.)
· Research and development
o Research technologies related to MOSS 2007 & 2010
o Research, Plan and implementation for upgrade to SP 2010
· 3rd Level Client Support
o Provide detailed support to other systems areas on use of MOSS 2007/2010
o Maintain a high level of customer service by responding timeously to user queries
o Provide technical support within team by performing ad hoc tasks – e.g. reports

· Advanced customisation of SharePoint 2007 Web Parts
· Day to Day SharePoint Technical Administration

Qualifications & Experience:
· Degree in computer science/information systems OR relevant diploma OR training with relevant experience
· Min 3 years experience
· Experience with other enterprise content management/collaboration tools advantageous
