Software Development Engineer (A1)
My client, who is at the forefront of creating the next major computing platform, is looking for a software development engineer to join their world class team in Cape Town.
You need to:
- Enjoy working on systems and building good software – Be customer-centric – Good team player – Strong systems, web services and implementation experience – Excellent written communication and strong verbal skills – Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
Min Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in CS or MIS – Strong software development and services skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills – Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities – Minimum 3 years of software development experience – Be able to demonstrate current proficiency in Ruby, Perl, Java and/or C/C++ – Be proficient with Linux, with a good understanding of TCP/IP networking – Experienced with large scale data storage and processing, virtualization and building scalable, fault tolerant infrastructure software and distributed systems – Knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands on empirical monitoring
