Description:
Solutions Architect required for a company based in Sandton, Gauteng.
Focus:
•Focuses primarily on the end to end application solution to guide the solution towards the long term needs of the organisation •Application systems design •Balancing requirements against resource utilisation and architectural factors •Serves as a technical design leader in the integration of application solutions and architecturally significant components •Gives input into the strategic technology direction of the organisation from an applications perspective •Sets the future direction and develops the migration plans for the applications to meet the business and architectural objectives of the organisation
Requirements:
•Information systems degree / BSC computer science with relevant experience •6 – 10 years technical experience •Knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing application systems •Experience in Excel, Viso, Powerpoint and MS Project •Excellent written and oral communications with good presentation skills.
Key responsibilities:
•Design, develop and implement specific architecture constructs such as software frameworks and patterns for use by others such as developers, merchants or partners •Integrate business, application, information and technology architectures •Identify and assess business development opportunities for a business enterprise •Present and defend an argument orally •Analyse feedback contexts and apply constructive feedback techniques •Evaluate emerging computerised information and communication systems and technologies •Demonstrate ability to understand business & IT strategy & define application domain future views to meet business and IT strategies •Define the test requirements to verify the application design •Preparation of architecture documents and presentations (Clearly describes the architecture, including rationale for decisions and implications of decisions).
Remuneration will be commensurate with level of experience
