Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 with a related IT Diploma or Degree
• 3-5 years database warehousing experience
• Crystal Report design (Very Important!!!)

Literacy Requirements

• .Net Framework (Intermediate – Advanced)
• MS SQL Server 2005/8 (incl Analysis Services)
• MS Visual Studio
• MS Project
• HTML, C#, Java Script, XML (Please note that all these skills will be assessed)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following … (but not limited to)

• Write, analyse, review and rewrite reports/interventions using workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter and symbolic logic
• Receiving specifications from relevant stakeholders and making suggestions on potential reports/interventions that will assist in continued business improvement
• Analyse specifications in order to conceptualise reports/interventions
• Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operation
• Liaise with Solutions Manager regarding resource planning and design approval
• Analyse specifications in order to conceptualise report/intervention
• Liaise with requesting parties to determine detail requirements
• Code reports/interventions according to language specification
• Apply quality management systems approaches to solutions
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure need satisfaction
• Document the development process
• Apply development best practices
• Monitor server performance (health) to determine whether adjustments need to be made
• Ensure software licensing is current and compliant
• Assist in disaster recovery processes
• Complete 24 hour backup of entire system
• Apply software patches where necessary
