An established South African based development company is looking for a SQL Database Administrator to join their Cape Town team. Qualifications:
BSc in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent
Minimum of 3 year experience with T-SQL
2 year SQL Maintenance experience (DBA functions)
2 year experience with Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services
.Net (C#) skills advantageous
Programming in an Object Orientated language, advantageous
Development of ETL processes, Data Warehousing and SSAS cubes
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report Writing
Development of stored procedures, triggers, functions and general sql queries
Optimization of databases
Design of new databases
Review database designs
Build import processes using SSIS
Creation of cubes using SSAS
Assisting developers with Best Practices on the SQL Server platform
Migration of data from different systems using queries, stored procedures and / or SSIS
