One of our major clients in the Information Technology industry is looking for a Senior SQL DBA
Qualifications & Experience:
• BSc Computer Science/Diploma in Information Technology essential!!
• At least 4+ years experience.
Major Challenges & Responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement backup strategy
• Audit Security on All servers on a regular basis
• Monitor disk space
• Assist developers with writing SQL stored procedures and SQL queries
• Installing and configuring reporting services
• database object migration through the testing/production cycle
• Documenting backup, replication and database mirroring procedures.
• Managing SQL server security – logins and permissions.
• Ensure that systems are online and operational before business hours.
Resolve SQL server issues that are logged in SQL error logs and windows event log
• Install and configure SQL server according to best practices.
• Upgrading SQL server to latest versions
• Performance tuning databases for best performance.
• Set up and configure database replication /database mirroring To DR servers
• Creating and scheduling maintenance plans(backups, rebuilding or reorganizing indexes, creating statistics)
