Description:
Acuity Consultants is currently looking for a SQL Developer to join a Global Sofware House and complement an already well established team of developers. You will be working in an excited, fast moving environment on internal and external projects servicing major clients.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the mandatory requirements below:
2 years minimum as a SQL developer on any RDBMS or Data Warehouse technology
A track record of using scripted SQL. i.e. stored procedures, scripts or triggers on the above technology
Optimisation of SQL queries
Solid interpersonal skills is crucial as you will be interacing with customers on a regular basis
Operate in a high pressure environment whilst remaining calm and focused
Desireable:
Experience of Linux / Unix would be beneficial
Practical experience of Shell scripting
Exposure to very large databases / data warehouses
Developed on Sybase IQ or Sybase ASE
