Skills and competencies required:
General IT environment skills. – IT as a hobby/ interest over the past few years.
Intermediate MS SQL skills.(Tables, writing select queries via joining tables, creating and understanding views)
Interested in understanding how database are designed.
Good Excel Macro experience
Microsoft technology centric
Other requirements:
Well presented and professional. Confident yet diplomatic.
Good English communication skills, both verbal and written; Good interpersonal skills.
A self-finisher(!). Its about how you finish, not how you start…
Self-motivated, with an enquiring mind and the ability to think of solutions & alternatives ’outside the box’’
Enthusiastic and energetic. Wanting to learn from peers and be able to work independently.
Must have own, reliable transport
To start as soon as possible – permanent position.
1 year’s experience in a similar field is a minimum requirement.
Company based in town but may move to Claremont.

Description:
SQL Server / Business Intelligence Support
Responsibilities
- Perform Business Intelligence (BI) implementations at our clients using our own BI Tool and using Microsoft SQL, Excel and related BI technologies
- Assist and advise clients in the best use of their technology.
- Responsible for responding to and resolving [BI] support requests at clients; This will be performed both remotely and at client’s premises in CPT. Where required, escalate the help ticket to relevant person and then follow up.
- Advise and train our resellers on our preferred methods of implementation and report design.
- Present training courses to new customers on report building and design.
- Be involved in designing new product features and improvements. (Initially you would not be writing code but perhaps growing into this if you like)
- Occasional custom development work within the MS Office /Windows/SQL environment
