Qualifications and experience:
Relevant tertiary education, from an established university or Technikon
SQL Server 2005/8 and relational database development experience including ETL, Stored procedures, Functions, triggers, DTS packages, SSIS and SQL queries
SQL Skills:
-Database design and architecture
-Using SQL Scripts
-Stored Procedures
-Functions
-Views – Understanding of data – Table management
Duties and Responsibilities:
Writing more complex queries for specialised requirements on current and new projects
Developing operational reporting systems
Developing systems to support operations
Ensuring correct preparation of data for all operations
Ensuring that data sources cater for demands of ad hoc extracts
Operations and maintenance of standard, routine queries
Operating, maintaining, enhancing and optimising systems
Additional tasks related to data extracts, automated operations and SQL queries as required
Assist the Business Analyst with queries to support both business projects, operational and informational needs
