Prop Data is looking for an individual with technical computer skills to take and help with support calls. This person needs be vibrant, friendly and well spoken. This position will primarily be a support role, but there will opportunities to grow within the company.

You will almost certainly have:
- Rock solid windows desktop experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in e-mail and internet access.
- Great troubleshooting skills.
- Postfix, Exim, Sendmail or any other open source MTA
- IMAP / POP3 / SMTP
- Spamassassin, basic virus scanning
- SSH, basic Linux / UNIX command line familiarity – You will be required to read logs and diagnose basic mail issues
- Basic networking tools – traceroute / ping / nslookup
- Rudimentary understanding of DNS – A record / MX record
It would be helpful and advantageous if you had:
- Hosting experience.
- Linux / UNIX experience.
- System administration experience with change management and deployment in an SLA-driven environment.
Your responsibilities might include (but also probably will not be limited to):
- Telephonic / e-mail technical support.
- Configuration of ADSL and e-mail accounts.
- Documenting faults accurately.
- Escalating out of scope faults to senior support personnel.
- Quality assurance of website updates and new product releases
Highly advantageous qualifications:
- RHCE
- LPI
- Experience with the Debian or OpenBSD OS
