JOB TITLE: SUPPORT ENGINEER
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong IT technical ability
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English)
Strong interpersonal skills (at all levels)
Good administration skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Drivers license and own reliable transport
Able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
Able to work independently
Must be willing to travel
Must be willing to provide after hour support
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Windows, Linux operating systems
Wireless network installation and configuration
Installation and configuration of customer server systems
Trouble shooting on customer server systems
MS SQL and Informix database background
JOB FUNCTION: Desktop and MS Office product support.
Network support in collaboration with external service
provider
Wireless network configuration and support
Installation and upgrade of software products
Helpdesk administration (Call logging & follow-up)
Testing (Test completed calls or queries from clients)
Other: Must be interested and willing to complete formal
certification courses in wireless network installation,
configuration and support.
Must have natural interest in technology and keep up to
date with trends.
SALARY PACKAGE: R14 000 per month cost to company
