A software development company based in Bryanston, specialising in the design and implementation of business processes and technology’s in the financial industry. They have a position available in objects orientated development. Development is done using an advanced OODBMS, latest web frameworks and an agile development methodologies.
To qualify for this position you need to have a BsC IT degree /or relevant Degree in Mathematical subjects. As well as 1 to 3 years experience developing commercial software with considerable experience in Object Orientated software practices in languages such as Java, C++, C# and Small talk.
The company’s preferred development platform is GLASS: GemStone, Linux, Apache. Seaside and Smalltalk . The indeal candidate for this role is a developer with detailed knowledge of both investment businesses and OO development. This role involves the analyst and understanding of business requirements, accurate and on-time development and implementations thereof, the appropriate documents and support in the production environments. The environment is highly objects oriented and written entirely in Smalltalk. And you will be responsible for development, testing and delivering the specification using and agile programming approach resulting in software e delivered on time and in budget.
