My client is requiring the expertise of an experienced SQL server Developer to join their team on a full time basis.
Job Description:
• The successful applicant will be required to establish and maintain integration between various business applications using Oracle and SQL server database back ends with web based applications running under Apache and Microsoft IIS.
• Requirements:
• A graduate degree or diploma in Computer Science / Informatics with at least one year applicable experience.
• A sound knowledge of the Microsoft.Net 2 and 3.5 frameworks as well as the use of programming languages within this framework will be required.
• In addition to the above the applicant will be expected to be capable of working with the following program languages and development environments: C#, XML, XSL, CSS, Javascript / Vbscript, HTML and derivatives.
• Competent in using Intergration Services from MS SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio.
• Proficiency in using and coding with the following RDBMS: Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
• A good knowledge of and high proficiency in the handling of the Microsoft 2008 operating system.
• Competency in leading and documeting JAD/JRP sessions. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively document solutions.
• Applicable knowledge of Solaris and Linux will be advantageous.
• A valid code EB drivers license.
