Praesignis is an IT consulting company based in Randburg. We are looking for a Support Technician to support our team of consultants and office staff. We require a presentable self-starter with excellent followup and good technical skills. You need to be service focused and be willing to commit to outstanding delivery.


Skills


  • Customer focused with a high degree of responsiveness
  • Strong Windows desktop and Internet experience
  • Detail oriented and experienced in keeping organized records
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting, repair, and testing
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server Active Directory user account maintenance and Windows 7, Vista, and XP operating systems
  • Solid understanding of networking including routers, switches, cabling, Wi-Fi access points and clients, and remote access technology
Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in computer-related field
  • A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications preferred
Experience


  • 1+ years of experience in a help desk role support supporting Windows Vista and XP operating systems and Microsoft Office products
  • 1+ years of hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting PC and laptop hardware

South African citizen or valid work permit holders only


Drivers licence and own transport is preferable as you may occasionally be required to travel to client sites to assist consultants on assignment or to collect hardware/software from suppliers.


Prefer someone who lives in the vicinity of our offices near Cresta.
