Main Role:
• Our client is looking for an experienced developer to turn their ideas on how the travel industry should work into reality.
• Working with the Development Manager and a small team, you will use your relevant degree and OO experience to build, test and deploy the application.
• The ideal person will have a passion for exploring the role of technology in simplifying and adding value to the lives of the various users. They enjoy learning about new techniques and better ways of doing things and hate re-inventing the wheel. They enjoy learning about new techniques and better ways of doing things and hate re-inventing the wheel.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
• A tertiary qualification preferably BComm (IS) or BSc (Computer Science)
Technical Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 4 Years application development experience with at least 2 years Web development in one or more of the following areas:
o Server Side: Python (Pylons), or other OO technology (e.g. Java)
o Client Side: (XHTML, Javascript, jQuery/Ext3, XML, JSON, Web Services)
o Relational Databases (ORM Wrappers, SQLAlchemy, SQL, Query Optimisation, ERD)
• Agile Methodology exposure (CI, TDD, etc) will be an advantage
• Strong OO implementation skills – experience in implementing technical solutions.
Soft Skills:
• Attention to detail and satisfying the client’s requirements
