Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all projects progress using the established software development life cycle and quality standards by participating in design, code and testing.
- Design and implement software features and enhancements
- Anticipate, communicate and manage project show-stoppers and other project risks, then escalate as appropriate.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills to proactively communicate with the engineering team, test team, project managers and business analysts.
- Hold yourself accountable for developing projects that are completed on time and in accordance with the development methodology and quality standards.
- Look for ways to improve existing processes.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work assignments and work hours.
Our ideal candidate will be able to show us examples of syntactically correct, cross-browser compliant websites using the following technologies:
- HTML & XHTML
- CSS
- jQuery
- PHP5
- MySQL
As with all jobs, there are requirements will need to meet. To be eligible for this position you must:
- Be able to speak and write in fluent English
- Be able to work onsite at our Pretoria office
- Have your own transport
- Be able to work at least 40 hours week
- Have knowledge of source control, ideally Git or Mercurial
