They are a software developer company focusing on Microsoft technologies (Visual Basic, Visual Basic .Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server) and Oracle solutions.
They are looking for a developer who can work on web based solutions. The candidate will spend 60% of their time developing leading edge solutions in Visual Basic.Net and ASP.Net on .Net Framework 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008 including AJAX and 40% on classic ASP and Visual Basic systems. By doing this we firstly meet the needs of our clients but also allow developers the opportunity to leverage of existing expertise whilst mastering the newer Microsoft technologies. Backend solutions are mostly Oracle based with some systems using SQL Server; however experience on Oracle is not mandatory as we will ease the transition to Oracle.
They describe their developers as Analyst Developers as they are not pure coders who only work from specifications. Their developers are involved in the full SDLC and will be required to liaise with clients, understand requirements and be part of the solution design, as well as being responsible for building the solutions. Whilst we do follow formal methodologies, we do not restrict delivery with bureaucracy.
