G'day MyBB,

A colleague is complaining about poor wifi coverage on the bottom floor of her house... Any recommendations to improve the wifi in the house. Apparently cabling is not an option. The router is on the top floor in the room called "new study". Budget around R2500

Any recommendations will be apprciated

TP-LINK DECO M4 3-pack
Mercusys Halo H50G 3-pack

Both brands allow you to additional mesh-routers and add them on.

I'd say you'll need 4 for your place but it'll go over your budget.
3 could work if you can place the downstairs one somewhere centrally, with the other 2 upstairs.

I have the Cudy M3000 (Wifi6 capable) 2 pack and it works great for me. But I agree a mesh system will be your best bet.

That "90mm DRYWALL" looks like a good place to run cable to an AP.

@B-1 you are indeed correct.... Thanks.... I missed that..... will tell them to consider it

Wired backhaul is imperative.

nvm. I bothered to actually read your whole post now :)

I am using 2 ruije ew3200gx-pro routers, one as a router the other as an access point, both are wifi 6. Have amazing coverage . Paid around R 3600 for both
