I'm looking for A 10" tablet (R3000-R5000) that I'll use mostly for reading PDFs, internet browsing and some minor excel and word editing. Does anyone know when the Huawei M6 will reach SA or if it already has? I emailed Huawei SA weeks ago and I still don't have have a reply.

Failing that, does anyone have any other recommendations?

Well have a look at the Chinese tablet buying thread. Have a look at the teclast T30, M30 and M16. Likely the best tablets on the market for price/performance in that price range.Quite a few members here have teclast tablets, there hasnt been a single complain with regards to the, performance, usability, design act .Best part of all teclast tablets still have google play support unlike huawei.

I have the Samsung S5e (SM-T725). Very happy with it.

Edit - its a little above your price range though. I paid R6k for mine

yeah secondhand, new they are 8k+

Then you may as well go for the T30 with the p70 helio chipset which is about 30% slower a 3rd of the price and while screen is better on the Samsung, you are paying for the name more then any thing else.I can't ever recommend Samsung, as they are overpriced.

I bought mine new

i never said that is the current price, i said that is the price i paid
Then why recommend some thing way outside the budget ? Mention you paid 6k, knowingly that he won't get it for that price any ways, rather pointless and irrelevant don't you think ?It's like asking what cricket bat to get and recommending a tennis racket instead. It is 8k, 3k over an entire 50% more.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm bouncing between the Lenovo, the Huawei and a Teclast - I'll wait until May to find out the prices (including the import price).
