Shouldn't be a problem with a fuel injected engine, which I'm assuming it is.
Most primitive fuel injections still run timing off an analogue controller from a vacuum sensor...

I was under the impression that pretty much any modern car would have a knock sensor and therefore be able to adjust ignition timing as needed.

HI Guys, thanks for the inputs. Turned out moving from a Diesel car to a pretrol car i had high expetations for the petro sound. I expected it to be way queer than the diese. I took it in this morning and the guy told me that thats a norma sound.
