TAC disrupts Aids Conference in Toronto

"A group of Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) activists occupied the stall, with some lying on the ground to symbolise the dead.

"Fire Manto now," they chanted as passers-by who gathered to see what was going on.

"How many lemons are you going to eat when your CD4 count drops below 200?" shouted a woman."

Heard this on the news when I woke up this morning, got a good laugh until I thought about what it really means, a lot of people dying.

While we all chant for drugs to be made available, how many of us really want our taxes to be increased to support people who think taking a shower after sex prevents AIDS? As far as I am concerned, let her preach garlic cures - saves me some rands in the long run....

It is more expensive to treat aids cases for TB and all the other diseases they get. Also if you put people on the drugs they are much less infectious...
