Funny Openweb Speed Problems

Hi Everyone,


I'm experiencing really strange speed fluctuations on my 4096 OpenWeb after hours account.

I've been testing the line with straight http downloading through Downstorm and torrents and I seem to get the same result. My line speed seems to gradually slow down at night and pickup in the early hours of the morning. So for example at 7pm I get full speeds of about 400K, at 8pm I get speeds of about 200K and this drop continues until I get a global speed cap of about 40-50K. This seems to pickup slowly at about 11pm and it seems to go back to full speed in the early hours of the morning.

This is really frustrating because the problem seems to be consistent every night now.

I emailed Keoma and he said that he tested my account and apparently he got full speeds which seems really strange to me. To be honest he doesn't seem to want to help me track the problem down. Maybe its a Telkom thing I don't know.

I used to have really consistent speeds with OpenWeb, but not anymore. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe similar problems? Any help appreciated.

Sounds like your exchange is congested and there isn't enough backhaul.
