Funny speedtest.net results

Hi

i have been running speedtest.net for the last week and have noticed that it does something very funny

when it starts it gives it's normal ping but when it does the download for the first half it says downloading at like 1.4Mbps (according to last test) and the graph doesn't show it as very stable but then all of a sudden it jumps to 4.4Mbps (According to last test) with a very stable graph and then does the upload test

does this show a problem?
my line is only a 4Mbps line and is synced at only 4Mbps
and it happens with both mweb and afrihost

any ideas?

I happens to me too. My speedtest bumps up to 0.45Kbps while its doing the test and im on a 384Kbps line. It's very strange.
