Okay so I couldn't find the right place to post this but I am going to be writing my matric next year and I still have NO idea what career to follow.

I attend UJMA and the subjects I take are: Pure maths, Physics, English, afrikaans, LO, Accounting and Economic. My marks are average ranging from 65-75.

My strong points are physics, maths and maybe economics but definitely not languages.

Basically I am looking for a fun job like maybe working at Telkom or Eskom but as a professional where I earn a decent salary. Piloting is also an option but I believe SAA has cancelled their cadet school so I am not sure where to study or what the requirements are.

(Sorry if this sounds too formal, like I said language isn't my strong suit)

PS: English is my home language.

My recommendation. Do a Liberal Arts degree and get an education before you get a professional qualification. The former helps to become a human being. The latter merely qualifies you for the servile arts, ie a profession or career. Most people, sadly, don't do this, preferring money to life.

If you don't know exactly what to do then focusing on a specific career path now may be devastating. Look at doing something that is a good sleeps qualification like bcom management and you will be able to use it anywhere

Finance
Construction

Where my two options, I stuck to finance hopefully one day I'll pick up carpentry skills!

You'll have to decide on your own. There is no "right" answer let alone a "right" answer provided by strangers on the internet.

I'm curious as to what makes you associate working for Telkom & Eskom with a "fun job" though?

Do a Liberal Arts degree

You're not reading straight.

I explicitly said a Liberal education is not a qualification. People who think that clearly are in need of getting one.

That's why I said get educated before you get qualified.

Learn philosophy, history, languages, music, writing, politics, anthropology, etc before you get your legal / medical / accounting / scientific / engineering / business / boiler-making / whatever qualification.

A Liberal Arts degree is NOT a qualification for a career, profession or vocation, with the exception of the noble and shamefully undervalued vocation of teacher. Except for that, it doesn't even qualify one for flipping patties on a hot plate. But it is necessary if you are going to be anything more than a technician in your profession. And, yes, many doctors, lawyers, etc are just skilled technicians in their Servile Art. But still Servile. Not free.
