Our USSD services are booming (where an aggregation WASP and offer infrastructure on behalf of our clients) - it's a useful and popular technology. One of the reasons why we see a demand is that the networks have run out of shortcodes. With WASPA requirements many clients turn to USSD when they cannot get the required shortcode on a specific band.

Its use / implementation is only limited by the clients server and its ease of use for the consumer.

Hi,

what do you mean by a run out of shortcodes ?
Any USSD command is a string made of numerics, prefixed with "*" and afixed with "#".
There is no limit on a length of USSD command.

USSD codes can be used by WASP companies for banking services, games and the like.

Could name or refer me to some hot USSD based services ?
I am afraid USSD shortcoding is 20 years old technology.
