The 30 day broadband offer is a pain to use with the authentication as they do not have a win 7 connection app so you have to battle along.

why dont you just use a ppoe connection?

I did that when I was had used their r389/30 day pass, here's how from my previous post

i signed up today, never used any connection tool, just put in the generic adsl username and password in my router, restarted router, opened a browser, it then asked me for my username and voucher number for the 30 day pass thing, then off i went, no issues, and i'm on linux. No tools installed. Seems to work pretty good, good speeds etc, thats 14/GB = R398 for 27GB. No contracts, unshaped.

I am using a built in sim card with the 3g connection

they call it unshaped because its so stupidly slow that they can get away with charging next to nothing for it.

My word, a 9600 dial-up modem would get my downloads down faster. rubbish.
