I am now officially confused by this anomoly:

Pop onto the iburst website and look at the package offerings...
The G1 package has an option for a 24month contract with no modem that appears to be cheaper than month-to-month by R80pm... It appears to undercut all the reseller products and it only seems to apply to the G1 product.

Was I seeing things.... is this a typo.... or is anyone actually using this product option that iBurst seems to have just cooked up....

Nope, this is the price of selling your soul. Its been there for a few months now.

Just remember, to back out of the contract you have to cough up 24 x R389.

But if you are certain this is what you want for the next 2 years, you could do a lot worse.

Personally, I value my freedom above R80pm

Aaaaaah :D figured as much.

Personally I have no plans to sell my soul to any ISP no matter how much I like them :) But a mate of mine is considering it... being blinded by the RRRR's I think...

This is sort of like a special that they have been running, except it will last forever I think.

Why is it so surprising btw? You will notice that all the prices go own the longer the contract, it makes sense, that how almost everything works.
A friend of mine changed from the normal 1G to this, so it does work. It is actually a very cheap price with the 64kb access included..

well IMHO I've been with iburst since they started and I took out the 24month package... and things seem to have somehow NEVER changed for any better WRT Teleskum adsl crap!

so once my contract is up I've saved myself some money from the modem purchases :)

but hell at the rate ICASA is doing their job as well as the #@$^ government at releasing teleskums grip on the telecoms state of affair I think the next 24 month will breeze thru with a blink of an eye...

but maybe something might change due to the 2010 world cup???
