Hey guys, I'm replacing my shocks and wanted to know which is the better product, Gabriel or Monroe?

Thanks

Always had Gabriel on my cars - no issues. Can't comment on the other brand though, never used them.

Monroe and Armstrong are the same thing with Monroe eventually killing off the Armstrong brand in SA. I've been using them for many years without any hassles.

I used Gabriel for many years and then switched to Monroe, but I will definitely go back to Gabriel. I have problems with the rear shocks on my 2007 Corolla which they cannot solve. The front ones are fine though.

Ok, so now the price.

R2700 inc. Alignment for a full replacement of all four shocks cheap?

Car is a 2005 Tazz.

Monroes are usually a better performing shock, especially over Gabriels. If its a Tazz, put Gabriels. They'll be cheaper.

R2700 is alot ...i remember it bein around R2000 for my wifes tazz

i would still look around a few places before paying R2700

sad thing is I have looked around, even asked a buddy who has a workshop and he can't beat that price. parts alone is ~ 2000K

whilst I am on the subject of my car, know anyone who can spray and fit a bumper? I can get a bumper for R450 but don't know anyone who can spray and fit.
