Gadgetsworld.com - they hack you when you make an internet payment

Hi All

Please be careful as you get an email from [email protected] saying you have won and just complete a survey. The moment you enter your banking details you get hacked and whacked by Gadgetsworld.com. They took and estimated 20 USD from my bank account. I was in this screen which I could not get out of, and could only get out once I restarted the PC. I used a virtual card which I could then stop with my bank. Gadgetsworld now refuse to refund me, I did not want to sign up for any subscription with them, this is international bank fraud. Please advise all your family, friends, parents, children that they must not accept anything from gardenshop or gadgetsworld.

Sounds like you fell for a run of the mill scam forget the website name if you ever pay to claim a prize its a scam...

Your post makes no sense;

1. What is the affiliation between them? Gadgetsworld.com does not even have proper DNS entries?
2. Gardenshop.co.za is a local domain, and seems to be a business but it doesn't mean they're part of any illict activity. Their domain could simply be one that attackers are using for normal drive-by phishing etc. although its on O365 and has working SPF/DKIM records etc.
3. Who did you contact at Gadgetsworld? They literally have no website on that URL? Or did you just find another Gadgets World et random?

I'm just confused by this post lol.

Ignore the basis of the post.

TLDR is person clicked a link thought they won a prize had to pay to claim prize and was subsequently scammed out of 20 USD as I said this is a run of the mill scam ignore the site names...

Call gardenshop. Their system may be compromised.
 
I got an email to say that they refunded me, but it is going to take 5-7 days to show. let us see ... At least I laughed at the garage pie. Yes we all pay school fees sometimes. I almost do not know a person who has not been scammed. It seems there are more unscrupulous people out there than honest people. It makes this world a nasty place to live in.

Thanks for your comments. Thank God I got my refund yesterday. But still steer clear of that website.

I've never been scammed in my life.
Unless paying lawyers, deposit to filthy estate agent and spending money on my family is considered a scam.
