Hi Guys,

I'm a naturally skinny gent and looking to gain some weight and tone up @ the same time. Been eating alot of food but only seem to be gaining weight around my stomach area ruining any potential 6pack I might have.
Any tips you guys can give me, do supplements really work? Don't really wanna join a gym as I'm still a student and funds are kinda tyt. Any help would be appreciated.

:)

Chow lots of creatine and drink a lot of water in conjunction with all the food your eating.

Do low reps of compound exercises like squats, dead lifts, benchpress, arm curls, etc...

Google Max OT and follow that workout religiously, I gained like 10 kilos from it. I was a buff charna and looked pretty tit :p

There a good brand of Creatine I should try? More expensive stuff better working?

You probably not eating the right things, hence the bulge around the waist.

I am no expert, but you need to eat good carbs to pick up weight e.g. rice.

Or you could take a mass gaining supplement - they usually have whey protein and lots of carbs.

You'll need a diet that's high in protein, simply eating more food isn't going to do you much good.

Weight gain and Muscle Gain..Right now I'm looking alot like Snoop Dogg body wise lol, looking to get to something like wilmer valderrama or Mario Lopez

Then you'll need protein, and lots of time at the gym doing the relevant exercises to achieve your desired outcome.

You going to need the calories too. That means eating the right carbs - or as i mentioned the weight gain supplements - which contain both protein and carbs

So more meat? Creatine? Should I be focusing more on Aerobic exercises or more toning exercises?

weight gain supplements wise, any recommendations?

Evox 5XL muscle meal?? Fairly cheap - decent value for money as a brand. Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass - more expensive.

Creating is creatine... get the cheapest pure creatine you can find.
I like supplements SA, their stuff is no frills, cheap and it works. For mass gainer get the evox muscle mass... chocolate or vanilla.

My 2cents - just coz I'm the same - a serious hardgainer. But I've gone from 56kg to 65kg's and still going - but I've slacked off on the chowing so pretty much platoed right now. To be honest, its 80% chowing, 20% gymming.

You'll need about 1-2g protein per kg of body mass to get enough protein - you dont need more, and its damn difficult to get that much protein in - you'll see! Then you need to get your calories up regardless. Don't substitute calories for protein...calories are the most important (you need to put in more than you can burn - to put on weight, klaar!) and getting enough protein secondary. But make sure the calories are right. Don't chow all fat/beer for your calorie intake for example - be clever about it.

I ate 6 meals a day.
1) Massive bowl of oats for breakfast, and protein shake
2) Second breakfast (cereal or something or toast)
3) 3-4 sarmies/rice and chicken or something for lunch
4) I had 2 hotdogs late afternoon lunch, or sometimes a couple of boiled eggs
5) Normal Supper
6) Protein shake
Even that wasn't enough calorie intake for me. I also had creatine too- 5g per day, with plenty of water (3l plus). And gymmed 3 times a week doing compound exercises like doobyscoo said.

Squats, bench, pullups, pushups, seated rows, overhead press, deadlifts. Heavy sets (5 or so), low reps (5 or so).

If you can't go to the gym, then rather do pushups, and pullups. Bodyweight exercises are great.

EDIT: On the supplement stuff - I used Evox 100% creatine (cheap), and SSN anabolic muscle builder (I liked it coz of the balance between protein and carbs, plus the price)

Why? I'm also interested in gaining a bit. I was talking to the SO a couple of days ago about this.

My problem is I never have much of an appetite. How can I get around this?

Evox is better tasting...

I never noticed results with USN...
