Wanna get a new GFX Card.. next month ill get new CPU, new mobo, new ram.

I currently run a
3Ghz LGA-775 Single Core
Gigabyte 8915P Duo Mobo (bought in 2004).
2GB DDR2-667 Ram

Has a PCI-Express 16x 1.0 slot so the card will work for a month in there? yeah?

Would you guys recommend me picking something up like this atm?

Current card is a Gainward 7600GT 256MB Golden Sample.
 
yeah it is 2.0 but according to google 2.0 cards are backwards compatible with 1.0 slots.
 
serious? Not the other way around.. thats weird :(
 
yes my 9800 went and my 7600 doesnt work whit 2.0 so I'm stuck using my old AMD
 
hmm. you think there is any difference in card quality? XFX vs Gainward?
 
dono never had a Gainward but that card is on special I c normal price is R2000 at take2
 
Gainward used to be excellent but not so sure anymore. Had a card that needed to be rma'd and they didn't bother replying to my emails..
 
Pci e 1 cards work in 2 slots and pci e 2 cards work in 1 slots.

Rather get the 4850 1gig from prophecy for under R1400.
