Galaxy Note 2 or Note 3

Hi everyone. Looking at selling my current phone and replacing it with a Note 2. It seems like it will cost me about R2500 more to get myself a Note 3 now instead of the Note 2
.
What I'm planning on doing is getting the Note 2 and replacing it with a Note 3/4 or S5 in September 2014 on contract and selling the Note 2 to cover as much of the pay-in as possible.

I change phones often and can't seem to keep one for more than 3 to 6 months anyway so maybe the Note 3 now isn't a good idea...

Just want to know what you guys would recommend and what you would say are the main differences between the two phones that you might find to be worth it.

Currently using an iPhone 5 (which I will be keeping) and a Sony Xperia Z (Selling) if that helps

What are you paying for the note 2?
They retailed for R2999 earlier this year just before the note 3 was out.

Please provide a link for a new Note 2 @ R2999 - I want to make some money.

In fact, yesterday at Samsung section at Tafelberg Furnishers, a Note 2 was going for R8499.

Got a guy willing to swap for my Sony. The two seem to be worth more or less the same... Otherwise I can sell my Sony and maybe pay extra for the Note 3. Just not sure if its worth the extra money:erm:

I sold my S4 in October wanting to buy the Note 3 but i decided to wait for the S5 instead. If I don't want the S5 then the Note 3 will at least be cheaper.

I'm like you, I get bored with a phone after a few months. I miss my S4 so much now that I'm using a 4S. Hopefully the S5 will be released earlier than expected so I don't get tempted with the S4 again.

I'm sure you do miss the S4, it's an amazing phone I ended up getting the Note 2 and I am loving it. I will either install the official 4.3 ROM or DN3 to make it more like the Note 3. So for now I'm happy and will probably wait until September for my upgrade. I would definitely recommend waiting for the S5 instead of going back to the S4. You will probably lose a lot of money selling when the S5 comes out - so wait a bit... I know its hard, just try

Haha i agree its hard. Only a few months though.

The Note 2 is a great phone. My sister has it and i get a little green every time i see it laying around. When i get the S5 I'm sure it will be worth the wait

Until the S6 comes out a few months later and you have to wait again...

Just get the damn phone you want when you want, there's always something better coming. Always.
