I have an N9005 that is blacklisted by all local networks.

Used to work initially on all networks, then only on Telkom/Cell C, and eventually on nothing. Samsung says the previous owner stopped paying his phone.

Is there ANY way to resolve this besides breaking the seller's knee caps. He is not able to make good.

I am pretty desperate.

Simple small claims court for fraud. I doubt if the network providers will assist. The phone most probably belongs to the original provider it the guy made a duck.

Had a similar issue with an S2 way back when. Nothing you can do, you can't even settle with the SP on his behalf, if memory serves.

Write it off as school fees, IMO, if he can't pay the provider, then you won't be able to take money from him in small claims.

My thoughts too.

Sell it on ebay or go to a neighbouring African country and sell it there. The phone will work outside South Africa.
