Galaxy Note 8

Sort of related but I'll ask anyway. Has anyone here dealt with thecellstore? It's registered to Duncan Matthews who plays for the Blue Bulls. Those prices are very decent... but you know that saying about too good to be true.

OH.EM.GEE!!!

How did I not know about this!?

Fanie, you legend!

Anybody successfully using CalDav with a G Suite account?

Yes. Set your Gmail account up 1st. Focus will automatically connect to the correct calendars associated with the Google calendar. You can change the default email address by adding the additional email and selecting the default in settings.

We are having an issue with my wife's Note 8.
The screen has stopped functioning...
When we do manage to get the phone running, only half of the screen works, and there is a thick white line down the centre of the screen.

The phone is about 3 months old, and has never been dropped, been in water, or any of the other things that could happen with the phone.

Under contract? Take it back, Samsung will cover the warranty.

This works as expected for my private GMail account, but events don't sync on my work account (G Suite).
Manually entering the CalDav address is initially accepted (but still doesn't sync), and is empty again when re-checking settings.
Very frustrating.

Update: and just started working by itself 2 hours after this post. Go figure....

Anyone on BTU or DBT firmware on their Note8 ? I am tempted to debrand my Note8 as Vodacom are useless when it comes to Security Updates, they have left us on the November update which does not cover Spectre and Meltdown which is my concern as I have my company's email on this phone.

I have tried and tried and they have made it so it cant be done. The csc doesnt change.

I actually want to give this a try when I get a new phone... will see how it goes, but i've heard the Jan update does something to restrict this as well... let me see if I can find it.

Apparently been blocked since the s8 range. The s7 was the last apparently that you could do changes. On sammobile under note 8 in forum so many guys have been trying

Yip have dealt with him and no problems at all.

This myth has been completely busted. We are not sure what bricked the tester's phone. He was not trying to downgrade from Blv3 to Blv2, nor did it have anything to do with FRP lock or user accounts as some people (who weren't involved in the testing) suggested.

But as we have verified, and has also been verified by users here at XDA, Prince Comsy ODIN still works on Blv3. Carrier switching still works on Blv3. @BlueFox721 has posted the Factory Binary files for Blv3 as well as a guide for carrier switching.

So carry on! Canadians, feel free to use U software! U users, feel free to use U1 software!

I am happy to admit I was wrong, and I apologize for any frantic flashing and factory resets I caused. I genuinely was trying to prevent hard bricks, and decided to err on the side of caution, even if that meant I overreacted.

Thank you for understanding!

thanks! as you were

This is very worrying. I can see that Samsung is updating the phone monthly in SamMobile firmwarea, but Vodacom have not pushed anything out for us, WTF.

So it seems Samsung are working on blocking us from doing this is future but it cans still be done right now?
