Galaxy Note 8

:crylaugh: Faan....no comment. But it's a good thing we all have different tastes - can you imagine how boring the world would be if everyone drove around in a grey Ford XXX and everyone had a white XXX phone etc

I have a WHITE ford ranger, and a BLACK samsung :D get your facts straight homey

Makes sense, considering it was spread out over ~96hours.

Yes, but it was not left in a cupboard for 4 days - it had normal use...phone calls, web browsing, WhatsApp, apps, GPS waze, youtube, texting, playing with apps etc etc but no gaming or movies. I am happy with that battery life.

Okay...that went over your head :crylaugh: I was just trying to illustrate that it's great that we have choice in our life. It would be boring if we all used the same things....I had no idea what you drive or what phone you use or what the colour your under-rods are :D

well if you aren't happy with that battery life, you better get yourself an old school nokia :D

So the test of the first video is rigged somehow?

Who knows what some random YouTuber is doing, I wouldn't rely on a YouTube video, the Samsung stats are stated as tested in the EU iirc so there is more likelihood of them being accurate.

Of course to people waiting to buy the Note 8 they'll clutch to any suggestion that it is so superior to the S8+ just because it suits their agenda.

So according to you, we shouldn't trust well known reviewers or anything but what Samsung tell us?

Interesting.

Nobody has to clutch on to anything, if they can get a Note8 they can obviously not wait and get an S8+.

Another factor in the Note8's better battery life may be Android 7.1.1 vs. 7.0 in S8+.

We saw a similar situation with Note 4 vs Note5, the 5 got better battery life with a 220mAh smaller battery.

Ag, these pre-orders never work for me. They never phone me, and on launch day I just go to Vodacom and pick it up myself.

That's fine if you are one of the lucky few who live close to a Vodacom that has stock on launch day. Unfortunately my local shop almost never have stock for at least a week or two after launch.

This time around i cant afford the ridiculous contract amount. Just wondering how quickly prices drop making them affordable on carb etc. R18000 is just insane
