Galaxy Note 8

Good morning everyone,

After much deliberation, I decided to try out the Note 8 and received mine yesterday. I'm yet to set it up, but I thought I'd ask some more knowledgeable members a question.

Does anyone know if changing your firmware to BTU (to remove all the branding and preloaded apps) affects your Samsung Rewards app? For example, I got my phone from Vodacom and I'm a Vodacom subscriber, and I'd like to get the Flex U headphones from the app (provided the promotion is still running), but I have no idea if the Samsung Rewards app reads your firmware region or reads the sim card to determine what's available to you. I've tried searching through the Samsung Rewards thread with no luck, and googling doesn't give me an answer.

Thank you everyone!

If I remember correctly, with my S7 Edge inlost the Rewards App after switching to BTU.

Haven't dared to try with my Note8. In fact with the Note8 I don't want to mess with FW anymore so I just Disabled all Voda crap, and will continue to use it as a XFV device.

Cool, thanks for letting me know!

No. You can load the firmware and not lose the rewards app. I've done this multiple times.

Can someone please explain in layman's terms
When flashing official software like btu what is the difference between csc and home_csc

From what I understand:
CSC belongs to the firmware of the country you download
Home_CSC will basically do nothing, keeping the CSC that is already on your phone

What you want is something like this to keep all the spen functionality.

Does anyone know how to change the colours the screen shows when you make or receive a call? Mine has changed to red and black for some reason from grey.
