Galaxy Note 8

Nope, did you clear the Cache Partition after the update? That's what I always do after an update and never have problems.

For me Oreo has been solid andoatly feels like Nougat, I keep forgetting I got the update, until I see the little differences e.g. with the Emojis and apps going into PiP.

Thanks for the suggestion, but how does one clear the Cache Partition?

The Vodacom security update is available (April 2018, 340MB).
Updates coming thick and fast now for the Note8, it is indeed the April update. :D

This is exactly what happened with a Note 4, started off with slow updates and then after the Lollipop update it suddenly got regular updates.

Updating my phone now...

Must say I am super happy with my Note8 now, now that the Security stuff is sorted.

I see Samsung had another record breaking Quarter for Q1, but the analysts are predicting that this may slowdown due to people having less incentive to upgrade every 2years - I cannot blame them, as I am questioning whether to convert my 2nd contract to a Prepaid SIM and going back to 2year upgrades.

I may just skip the Note9 and wait for the Note10 (Note X?)

I eventually started using Substratum again after updating to Oreo. It's so nice to have my all black theme back again. It's also easier and quicker to apply the theme for all apps now.

I did the OTA update to Oreo last week. Now every time I'm playing music on my bluetooth speaker, the music pauses every single time I unlock my phone. Even if I just press the lock button to make the screen come on, music pauses

Is there a way to prevent that from happening?
Did you find a fix to this it's really irritating in the car

From what Ive seen in the Substratum Telegram group, there are no problems with Subs and the April patch.
