Hi guys

Ok so I got my new S2, was so happy, until I started to make calls. I got this on Friday, people told me that they hear an echo when they speak to me. On monday I go into Nashua Mobile, tell them, they say its a network issue, I say its not, that doesnt make sense, why isnt my other phone doing it (I have 2 vodacom phones).

They then look at the simcard, notice its a 32k simcard and tell me thats the problem. They charge me R99 for a simswap and send me on my way.

So the problem is still there. I did research and this is a known issue. Now, I am still in my 7 day period, so I want the phone replaced, and they must reimburse me for the R99 unnecessary sim swap.

I just want to know if they replace the phone and it happens again, what should I do? I see there are fixes, but they void warrantees?

Are you using a case? If so, try removing it. Only a select few cases seem to actually work with this thing, the rest cause an echo in a good percentage of handsets.

it echo'd with or without the case, the mod fixed it 100% with no case on, and with the case on the echo is slight apparently. I just wont use a case. Im just happy its working now without the case. Really cant believe it still, 4 days old and I had to mod the thing to work properly... Thank goodness for helpful people on the internet, else I know I would have problems with the SP.

Have you updated the phone to the latest firmware available? Fixed a mate of mine's echo issue by doing this last week.

Failing this, while on a call, press the context/menu button and disable the noise reduction option.

I also had the echo problem with a very expensive case I bought.

So now I just use the phone without a case, but really want to get the extended battery, as it will cover the camera lens when the phone is put down on a surface.
