Galaxy S2 Faulty?

Hi guys

My galaxy s2 is running on stock 2.3.4. Its about 5 months old. Heres my issue that started today:

*the 'MTP Application' screen that comes up when plugged into a computer via the data cable pops up on my phone even though the phones not plugged in.

*Phone will not stay turned off, when i turn it off it automatically turns itself back on. Even if i take the battery out, and put it back in it will still turn itself back on.

*Sometimes it stays off for a few min but displays the battery screen (as if it thinks its connected to a charger?) and procedes to turn itself on again

*Few a few split seconds on the lock screen it says "charging 98% etc"

It seems like this phone constantly thinks there is a cable attached to it?

Do I need to return this phone?

Sounds like there's a short in the USB port,did you check the water damage indicator for possible damage?

Where is the water damage indicator and what does it look like?

Pop the covers and look for little white strips/squares,they'd be turned red if there was water near them

with a bit of research on google, I managed to sort the problem out - cleaned the usb port out with an old dry toothbrush, been working like a champ ever since
