My S2 was put through part of a washing cycle for about 10 minutes before I saved it. The amazing part is that the only evident damage was the power button not working anymore. Maybe it's because the washing machine is a Samsung as well...?

@ Slootvreter - submerged, I fished it from the very bottom of the toploader. It was in cargo pants pocket.
@ ajax - Left it in the sun for rest of Saturday and whole of Sunday. Battery back in on Sunday evening and it powered up - everything worked, except for the power button. PS. It was nothing to ROFL about then... ;-)
I have had a few phones go through the washing machine .. unfortunatly they did not survive the clean![]()
You should only use Skip liquid detergent.
Omo liquid detergent is not so good.
